FIFA 23 - *NEW* 'FUT Centurions' card type added to Ultimate Team code

We've seen plenty of new special items introduced to FIFA 23 recently with the 2022 World Cup promo bringing some awesome content to Ultimate Team.

The ever-reliable Ultimate Team source @FUT_scoreboard has revealed that yet another brand new card type named 'FUT Centurions' has been added to the code.

We're taking a look at what the FUT Centurions card type could represent and the potential brand-new FUT promo.

FUT Centurions

Fut Scoreboard, who has been spot-on with his FIFA 23 leaks so far, has revealed in his latest Twitter post that a 'FUT Centurions' card type has been added to the Ultimate Team code.

Typically when a new card type is added to the FUT code, it is introduced into Ultimate Team within a matter of days or weeks.

With little to no information revealed about the new card type other than the title itself, we can only speculate on what it might involve.

We expect special FUT Centurion items to be handed to players who have reached milestones within real-world football that are associated with the number 100.

What to Expect

EA will either release the FUT Centurions as part of a new promotional squad or as individual SBC cards in Ultimate Team.

Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne is our front-runner for a FUT Centurions item.

As a result of City setting an English top-flight record for most points in a single season, with 100, the team received the nickname "Centurions", and have been acclaimed by pundits and football journalists as being one of the greatest teams in Premier League history.

So, it makes sense for a City player to be handed the first FUT CEnturions card and who better than their midfield maestro KDB?

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba could be selected for a FUT Centurions item after he became the first-ever £100m footballer when making the switch from the Serie A to the Premier League back in the summer of 2016.

Real Madrid’s 2011-12 campaign under Jose Mourinho was an unforgettable one for Los Blancos. It culminated in them winning their first La Liga crown in four years and reaching 100 points in the league for the season.

France international striker and Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema could be the player selected for a FUT Centurions card from that special squad as he still plays for the Spanish side.
