A new feature that has landed in career mode in recent years is objectives, with these outlined in a separate tab in the UI.
Your objectives may seem unimportant but they are key to maintaining a good relationship with your board.
Some can be ticked off early doors, like youth recruitment and buying players in a certain position, but some will have to be earned throughout the year.
Either way, it's important not to ignore these guidelines as they will be key in ensuring you get to keep your job at the end of the season
Think Ahead
The best Career Mode saves are ones where you plan ahead, whether it be through youth training, transfer planning or even title targetting.
One thing you need to be keeping an eye on is the pre-contract and free agent market, as there are some certified bargains available at the start of each season.
The best thing to do is shortlist players in the last year of their deals and check their profile on the first day of the new season, this will let you know if they have been released and are subsequently available for free.
Signing free agents isn't just a great way of improving your squad but it will also lead to you making a ton of easy profit.
Regens (regenerated profiles for retired players) also appear on the free-agent market at the start of each season, so it's vital you track this market closely and ensure you aren't missing out on the next big superstar.
