FIFA 23 best young strikers to sign

What makes someone eligible for this list? Well, firstly they have to primarily play striker. There are some natural wingers who will also be able to play up top, but we aren't really interested in them. We want pure #9s here.

We are only looking at players that start FIFA 23 career mode aged between 20 and 24. Those younger than that fall into the wonderkid strikers bracket, while obviously anyone older than that has aged out!

There is a whole generation of athletic and talented strikers coming through at the moment, including two of the best players in the world.

We've listed these by considerating what they can do right now but also how high their potential is. You might disagree with our list, but this is who we think are the best young strikers in FIFA 23 career mode!

Haaland & Mbappe

Both Earling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe fall into the age range of young strikers in FIFA 23, but we won't discuss them here. We know they are great, you know they are great, but they are also nearly impossible to sign.

If you already have them, you certainly won't be looking for another striker. So let's get into players that are possible to sign and not necessarily world-renowned goal scorers just yet.

Victor Osimhen (OVR 84 - POT 90)

Team: Napoli

Age: 23

Nation: Nigeria

Victor Osimhen has burst onto the scene recently and is taking Napoli to their first Serie A title since 1990 with a league-leading 21 goals at the time of writing.

Osimhen is a physical phenomenon in FIFA 23. He's got 93 sprint speed, 90 jumping, 87 acceleration, and 86 strength. He can battle with anyone and run past most defenders. He's also got 90 finishing to bang the goals in and 81 heading accuracy along with his 6'1" height to be a threat in the air. He'll be expensive but if you don't have Haaland or Mbappe then Osimhen should be your #1 target.

Dusan Vlahovic (OVR 84 - POT 91)

Team: Juventus

Age: 22

Nation: Serbia

Dusan Vlahovic burst onto the scene in 2021 with Fiorentina before securing a massive €80 million move to Juventus in January 2022 where he's been performing well. On the international stage he already has 13 goals in 21 games for Serbia.

In FIFA 23 Vlahovic is a physical striker. His 6'3" frame lets him battle with centre backs thanks to his 88 strength, 83 sprint speed, and 71 jumping. He's deadly in front of goal, with 88 finishing, 84 shot power, and 82 long shots too.

Lautaro Martinez (OVR 85 - POT 88)

Team: Inter

Age: 24

Nation: Argentina

Lautaro Martinez has long been considered the next great striker, but he has been overtaken by Haaland. Martinez has been a quality player for Inter, but a lacklustre Qatar World Cup performance has left him adrift in the world of quality forwards.

However, in FIFA 23 he is still a great player. Martinez is a slight player, but has great movement skills with 89 balance, 86 agility, 86 acceleration, and 80 sprint speed. He can hold his own with 84 strength and he's got 89 jumping and 84 heading accuracy but at 5'9" he won't win too many set piece headers.

In front of goal Martinez is very good. He's got 88 finishing, 80 shot power, and 76 long shots to bag plenty of goals.

Darwin Nunez (OVR 82 - POT 89)

Team: Liverpool

Age: 23

Nation: Uruguay

Darwin Nunez has just moved to Liverpool for big money, but the young Uruguayan is a terrific talent and one you should absolutely try to sign if Liverpool want to move him on.

Nunez is a striker of similar imposing stature to Haaland, with a blend of physicality and speed. He's got 91 sprint speed, 89 stamina, 88 acceleration, and 87 strength which all means he will be a handful for any defender. In front of goal he's got 86 shot power, 83 finishing, and 75 long shots to be a consistent scorer.

Randal Kolo Muani (OVR 82 - POT 86)

Team: Eintracht Frankfurt

Age: 23

Nation: France

Randal Kolo Muani wasn't a household name before the World Cup, but he made a big impact for France and really announced himself to fans everywhere.

In FIFA 23, Kolo Muani has elite movement with 90 acceleration, 87 sprint speed, and 84 agility which underpins his 86 dribbling. He's got a little bit of work to do in front of goal, with 80 finishing and 79 shot power being good but not great.
