FIFA 22: £100 million Chelsea signing HAMMERED in latest Ratings Update

The latest FIFA 22 ratings update has now gone live, and EA has made some BIG calls regarding the best strikers in world football this week.

We've compiled all the main upgrades and downgrades that are now live in the latest version of the FIFA 22 squads below.

Upgrades

The following players have seen their overall rating upgraded in the FIFA 22 database.

Karim Benzema (OVR 90 - OVR 91)

French striker Karim Benzema has scored 24 goals and provided 9 assists in just 28 appearances in all competitions this season.

The Real Marid number nine has been bumped up to 91 OVR and is now deservedly rated amongst the best players in FIFA 22.

Christopher Nkunku (OVR 84 - OVR 85)

RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku has already gone from an 81 OVR to an 85 OVR in FIFA 22, having picked up FIVE performance-based special cards on the way in Ultimate Team.

The 24-year-old has a very impressive 11 goals and 9 assists from midfield this season, and it seems the sky is the limit for the Frenchman.

Diogo Jota (OVR 83 - OVR 84)

Portuguese forward Diogo Jota carried the torch for Liverpool whilst AFCON stars Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were absent over the past month.

EA has bumped Jota up to an 84 OVR in FIFA 22 and the number 20 is also now one of the most promising players in Career Mode, with a potential of 89 OVR.

Vinicius Junior (OVR 83 - OVR 84)

Next up, we have another Real Madrid player who has been on fire this season, having scored 15 goals whilst picking up 10 assists in all competitions already.

The 21-year-old has been upgraded to an 84 OVR winger in FIFA 22 and is now one of the most 'meta' cards in the game with five-star skill moves alongside the likes of Neymar.

Downgrades

The following players have seen their overall rating drop in the latest FIFA 22 update.

Romelu Lukaku (OVR 88 - OVR 87)

The most noticeable downgrade in the latest update is that of Chelsea's £97.5 million summer signing, Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian striker has been caught up in off-field drama whilst he has not been netting goals on the field either, so it's fair to say things haven't quite worked out the way Thomas Tuchel would have wanted.

Kasper Schmeichel (OVR 85 - OVR 84)

EA has downgraded Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel after a run of poor results for the Foxes.

We feel this is slightly harsh on the Danish 'keeper, as he has been let down by his defence and does not get much protection.

Youri Tielemans (OVR 85 - OVR 84)

Another Leicester player has been downgraded this week, and this time it's the turn of Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans.

The centre-mid has attracted a lot of interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs in recent weeks and we feel this downgrade is also unjust.

Bernd Leno (OVR 82 - OVR 81)

Since the arrival and excellent form of Aaron Ramsdale in the summer, former Arsenal number one Bernd Leno has struggled for game time in the Premier League.

The German 'keeper still shows his class in cup matches but will need a transfer away from the Emirates in order to see his rating increase again.
