New feature waves GOODBYE to antagonising celebrations in FIFA 22

FIFA 22 is just around the corner, and there are loads of new features arriving ahead of the new season.

EA has now revealed full details for their various different game modes, with one feature catching our eye as an absolute life (or controller) saver.

FIFA 22 release date

The release date for EA's upcoming title has been confirmed, and there is not long to wait!

After months of speculation, EA announced that FIFA 22 will be released on Friday, 1 October 2021.

Early Access will be available from Tuesday, 28 September - with the EA Play Trial going live 10 days before release.

FUT 22 reveal

The most popular and lucrative mode in the FIFA franchise is Ultimate Team, so this is where EA focuses its efforts.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has been the latest mode to go under the spotlight, with this trailer accompanied by the latest set of Pitch Notes.

FUT Champions has been overhauled and optimised to be easier to play and fit around your schedule.

One particular feature has already grabbed the community's attention, with Robbie Keane and Tim Cahill announced as two of the new "FUT Heroes". Check out the new FUT Heroes here.

Spare your controllers

As seasoned Ultimate Team players, we all know how emotionally testing it can be watching your opponent celebrate after scoring a goal.

What makes it worse is the watching of the celebration in full, having to sit and suffer while your opponent goads you.

Well, we can say goodbye to that this season! EA has recognised this as a problem, and the solution they have come up with will add another level to the game.

"Conceding a goal is always heartbreaking, especially in a closely fought match. While celebrations are an important part of real world football, we know watching them can be a frustrating experience for some players.

ENJOY IT - Take in all the joy of your own goals
"That’s why we’ve introduced new Celebration Camera Focus settings that allow you to focus on either your team's reaction or your opponent’s celebration when conceding a goal.
"By default it will be set to “Opponent Celebrations.” Changing this setting will affect every mode in FIFA 22, not just FUT."

Not only will you not have to watch your opponent, but instead you get the added depth of watching your own players' agony.

Now we've seen that written down, we are not really sure it's better, but it certainly isn't worse!
