Latest news - New Gullit Gang card
More leaks are surfacing ahead of this week's release, and this one has revealed the full stats of one of Team 2's incoming midfielders.
Lens and Ivory Coast midfielder Seko Fofana already has two special cards in FUT 22, so a spot in the Headliners event is fully deserved for the excellent season he is having.
His new card is set to join the Gullit Gang with all his base stats above 80.
If you are hoping for the win bonus though, Lens are yet to win more than two consecutive matches in Ligue 1 so far this season, and are winless in their last six outings!
Release Date
Now that we've seen the Headliners squad labelled as 'Team 1', we know that Team 2 is on the way soon!
We haven't seen a FUT loading screen just yet, but we expect EA to release the Headliners Team 2 squad on Friday, 7 January 2022.
The new squad will be released at approximately 1pm ET / 6pm GMT on the day of release, replacing the Team 1 cards in packs immediately.
Mohamed Salah
Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has been arguably the best player in the world for the past few months, so it's hardly surprising that he's set for a Headliners Team 2 inclusion!
The Egyptian winger tops the charts for goals AND assists in the Premier League this season, having scored an astonishing 16 goals whilst picking up 9 assists in 21 appearances so far.
Vinicius Jr
Vinicius Jr has been on FIRE for Real Madrid this season, having scored 12 goals and provided 9 assists in just 25 appearances in all competitions.
The young Brazilian has been rewarded with four performance-based special cards already in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team and it looks like another one is on the way!
Joao Cancelo
No one can deny that Joao Cancelo is deserving of a Headliners Team 2 card in FUT given how influential he has been for league leaders Manchester City this season.
The Portuguese full-back will most likely be rewarded with a 90 OVR card which, if the stats are anything like the predicted card above, will be able to play anywhere in your lineup!
Joshua Kimmich
Despite being injured for a large portion of the season, leaks are suggesting that Joshua Kimmich will be included in Team 2.
The Bayern Munich midfielder has already received a 90 OVR in-form card this year which proved to be a very effective card in-game.
Seko Fofana
Ligue 1's 2021 September Player of the Month winner, Seko Fofana, is set for an EVEN better card in the Headliners promo this week.
The Ivory Coast international will most likely be getting an 88 OVR card and the thought of this being upgraded is frightening!
Nicolo Barella
Nicolo Barella has carried his Euro 2020 form into the current season and has been simply outstanding for Inter Milan.
The midfielder's two in-form cards proved VERY popular in the Weekend League, so we expect his Headliners card to be another fan favourite.
