FIFA 22 Wonderkid Right Backs: France has a couple of young speedsters

Full-backs are becoming more important than ever in modern football, and you will feel the need to find top talent in your Career Mode.

Linking play, giving defensive cover and creating chances is asking a lot of a player, especially if you're after a wonderkid.

Find out who the best wonderkid right-backs are to sign on FIFA 22 below.

What makes a wonderkid right-back?

To class as a right-back, we are looking for players that are either a RB or RWB.

For a real wonderkid you have to be a teenager upon FIFA 22's release, so that means Trent Alexander-Arnold will not be on the list!

Devyne Rensch (OVR 73 - POT 85)

Age: 18

Club: Ajax

Value: £6 million (Release clause: £9.6 million)

Wage: £3,000 a week

A young player from Ajax always seems to have a promising career ahead of them.

Devyne Rensch is an all-round RB, similar in qualities to Alexander-Arnold, but without the pinpoint crossing.

All his movement attributes are around the 70 mark or higher, and that will improve rapidly in Career Mode.

Tino Livramento (OVR 71 - POT 85)

Age: 18

Club: Southampton

Value: £3.6 million (Release clause: £9.1 million)

Wage: £7,000 a week

Valentino Livramento came through the Chelsea academy, before a move to Southampton.

With the Saints he has taken his opportunity of first-team action, putting in impressive performances this season and securing the right-back position as his own.

Hugo Siquet (OVR 70 - POT 84)

Age: 18

Club: Standard Liege

Value: £3 million (Release clause: £7 million)

Wage: £3,000 a week

Hugo Siquet is definitely a player who should be on your radar.

Decent movement, skill, crossing and defending attributes mean that this guy will be great to play with.

Goncalo Esteves (OVR 68 - POT 84)

Age: 17

Club: Sporting CP

Value: £2.5 million (Release clause: £6.5 million)

Wage: £430 a week

Goncalo Esteves has started representing the Portugal national side at youth level, showcasing his great promise.

He is pretty comfortable on the ball and with decent defensive stats, but he might not excel enough in one area to be truly outstanding.

Malo Gusto (OVR 72 - POT 83)

Age: 18

Club: Lyon

Value: £4 million (Release clause: £8.5 million)

Wage: £9,000 a week

Malo Gusto has seen his stock increase recently, with +2 to his overall rating and +1 to his potential.

He already has 86 PAC, so could slot into your team as a backup option from the start.

Joe Scally (OVR 70 - POT 82)

Age: 18

Club: Borussia Monchengladbach

Value: £3 million (Release clause: £5.7 million)

Wage: £3,000 a week

Joe Scally has played nearly every minute for Borussia Monchengladbach this season, his adaptability meaning he has starred at RB, LB and RM, and also seen a huge rise of +8 from his starting rating.

He keeps up the usual trope that American players are physically very strong, with decent movement and agility, but slightly low defensive qualities.

Ethan Laird (OVR 70 - POT 82)

Age: 19

Club: Swansea (on loan from Manchester United)

Value: £3.1 million

Wage: £20,000 a week

A promising young player, Ethan Laird has been slowed down by injuries in his career.

He is a pacey and powerful RWB, with good ability on the ball to attack the wing.

Justin Che (OVR 65 - POT 82)

Age: 17

Club: FC Dallas

Value: £1.5 million (Release clause: £3.1 million)

Wage: £430 a week

Justin Che is a right-back that will probably be best converted to a CB.

He doesn't have great crossing or other attributes you would want for a RB to get forward but could be a decent ball-playing CB with a bit of pace too.

Timothee Pembele (OVR 70 - POT 81)

Age: 18

Club: Bordeaux (on loan from PSG)

Value: £2.8 million

Wage: £8,000 a week

A very promising player, France's defence looks like it's sorted for the foreseeable future.

Moving from PSG to Bordeaux will see him get more playtime and improve his craft.

Already at 85 PAC, this guy is a speed merchant in the making.
