Full-backs will play a crucial role in your FIFA 22 Career Mode, just as they do in real life.

If you manage to sign top quality in the position you will be rewarded with a player who can not only offer solid defensive cover but also provide an attacking threat down the flank and link your play together.

Check out the best young left-backs to sign on FIFA 22 Career Mode to take your team to the next level.

Looking for a cheaper deal?

There are some real steals to be had on this list, but if you are after even cheaper players that could still become top talents then take a look at the best wonderkid left-backs to sign on Career Mode.

They may not be first team quality just yet, but after a couple of seasons, they will make the position their own.

The best part is they are all extremely cheap, so why not invest in a couple to add extra depth to your squad!

Defining Best Young Left Backs

These players will either be classed as a LB or LWB.

They will also be aged 23 or under at the start of your first Career Mode save, giving you around a decade of use.

Theo Hernandez (OVR 84 - POT 90)

Age: 23

Position(s): LB

Club: AC Milan

Value: £54 million (Release clause: £102 million)

Wage: £44,000 a week

If you're looking for someone rapid at LB, Theo Hernandez is your guy.

92 Acceleration and 94 Sprint Speed, coupled with 90 Stamina, means he will constantly be up and down the line.

Hernandez isn't afraid in the opposition box either, with 13 league goals in his previous two seasons with AC Milan.

Alphonso Davies (OVR 83 - POT 90)

Age: 20

Position(s): LB, LM

Club: Bayern Munich

Value: £59 million (Release clause: £108 million)

Wage: £55,000 a week

Let's not beat around the bush, here is your go-to LB choice - pay whatever it takes, just get this man in.

With insane speed and dribbling already, the rest of his attributes are sure to increase in the many, many years he could spend with your club.

Renan Lodi (OVR 81 - POT 86)

Age: 23

Position(s): LB

Club: Atlectico Madrid

Value: £31 million (Release clause: £67 million)

Wage: £42,000 a week

Give your team a bit of Brazilian flair and grab this man from Atletico Madrid.

Not only is he a solid defender, but his skill on the ball and agility will have you running rings around the opposition.

Cucurella (OVR 81 - POT 87)

Age: 22

Position(s): LWB, LM, LB

Club: Brighton & Hove Albion

Value: £33 million (Release clause: £70 million)

Wage: £49,000 a week

It shows how far the club has come under Graham Potter and what he is building that a Brighton & Hove Albion player makes this list.

Cucurella can operate anywhere down the left flank, probably better offensively than defensively, but will have no problem playing whatever role you need.

Owen Wijndal (OVR 79 - POT 84)

Age: 21

Position(s): LB

Club: AZ Alkmaar

Value: £22 million (Release clause: £34 million)

Wage: £9,000 a week

It seems like only a matter of time before Owen Wijndal sees a move to a bigger club.

At the moment he is well established in the Eredivise, playing for AZ Alkmaar.

Pervis Estupinan (OVR 79 - POT 83)

Age: 23

Position(s): LB

Club: Villarreal

Value: £20 million (Release clause: £44 million)

Wage: £25,000 a week

Pervis Estupinan hasn't managed to cement the starting spot at Villarreal just yet.

He is a well rounded LB, with good pace, strength and ability on and off the ball, just don't let him shoot!

Nuno Mendes (OVR 78 - POT 88)

Age: 19

Position(s): LB, LWB

Club: PSG (on loan from Sporting CP)

Value: £25 million

Wage: £7,000 a week

Nuno Mendes is currently on loan at PSG, who have an option to buy the player.

He is rapid and generally has a great all-round game, so the French club will almost certainly pursue that option, as LB is their weakest area on the pitch.

Tyrell Malacia (OVR 77 - POT 82)

Age: 21

Position(s): LB

Club: Feyenoord

Value: £13 million (Release clause: £20 million)

Wage: £7,000 a week

Very nimble, Tyrell Malacia can be a tricky customer when on the ball.

With decent crossing and short passing, he can slink up the wing and create chances for your side.

Borna Sosa (OVR 77 - POT 81)

Age: 23

Position(s): LWB, LM, LB

Club: VFB Stuttgart

Value: £12 million (Release clause: £23 million)

Wage: £20,000 a week

Borna Sosa started the season excellently, with three assists in the opening game.

With 86 Crossing, don't be afraid to whip the ball in when you get a chance.

James Justin (OVR 77 - POT 80)

Age: 23

Position(s): LWB, RWB

Value: £12 million (Release clause: £23 million)

Wage: £55,000 a week

James Justin was looking like a real player when he got into the Leicester team, playing across the whole backline, as well as at LM and RM.

Unfortunately, he picked up a cruciate ligament injury and hasn't played since February, which has also seen a fall in his potential.
