All the latest FIFA 22 Beta leaks, new commentators, and features

We are seeing more news than ever ahead of FIFA 22, but don't worry if you have missed anything!

Take a look at all the key pieces of news from the past week as excitement for the new game continues to grow.

New Icons

Nine players have been added to FIFA online as Icon players, including former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.

He is joined by fellow Dutch legends Wesley Sneijder and Jaap Stam in a line-up of great players.

Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas is long overdue a place in the Icon roster and is certainly one we would love to see added in FIFA 22.

Take a look at all nine potential new FIFA 22 Icons.

FPS Increase

According to @DonkTrading we will see "True next-gen" in FIFA 22.

With an increased frame-rate speed the game should look incredible and feel smoother than ever.

Beta Leaks

We were expecting the Closed Beta to come out in August 2021, however, we could see it arrive sooner than expected!

@FUTZONECENTRAL on Twitter has leaked an image of the FIFA 22 Beta screen, so perhaps it could be on the way in the coming days?

Following this news, we have seen several sources providing feedback on what they have seen in the Beta so far, with much of it positive!

With plenty of info, let's take a look at what we 'know' so far.

Beta invite

If you are not sure how to sign up for the FIFA 22 Beta, the truth is you can't.

It is invite only, although to increase your eligibility for the FIFA Closed Beta invites, you need to be opted-in to receive FIFA and EA emails.

If you'd like to opt-in, head to this page and select the first box, where it says “EA may email me about EA news, products, events and promotions”.

Teams

@PlaystationSize on Twitter has stated that he knows which teams will be included in the Beta.

According to @PlaystationSize, the following teams will feature:

  • Atletico De Madrid
  • Chelsea
  • Dortmund
  • Inter
  • Liverpool
  • Man City
  • Milan
  • Paris SG
  • Real Madrid
  • Spurs
  • Soccer Aid (Icon Team)

File Size

It looks like the file size for the FIFA 22 Closed Beta will be 39GB according to @FUTZONECENTRAL

New voice

Following the Madden 22 reveal, a FIFA 22 announcement can only be a few weeks away - and there are reports suggesting that a new commentator is going to be added to the line-up of the EA release.

An Arsenal and England legend - with over 140 international caps to their name.

The reported arrival is current BBC and Sky Sports pundit - and future presenter of Football Focus - Alex Scott.

As you can see from the above, this was reported by FUTZone - and they do not give a source for this leak. Scott has been a regular on TV screens in recent years, so this would be a great addition.
