FIFA 22: Beginner's Guide to Ultimate Team - Learning the Ropes


FIFA 22 may be deep into its season, but that doesn't mean there aren't those that are dipping their toes in for the very first time.

In this series, accumulated over the coming weeks and months, we follow one team, No Clue FC - guided by the RealSport101 team - in their quest to dominate Ultimate Team.

Last week, No Clue FC went in search of MLS Objectives players, so how does the land lie after another week of Ultimate Team action?

Ticking Boxes

The main objective of the second stream was to complete the MLS foundations objectives, adding much-needed firepower to the squad.

Thankfully, a few dominant victories and some screamers from Sebastian Lletget and Carlos Vela mean that No Clue FC quickly ticked the necessary boxes, adding Miles Robinson and Marcelino Moreno to the squad.

The quick completion of these objectives saw No Clue FC turn to Switzerland superstar Xherdan Shaqiri, a vital piece of the MLS puzzle.

Entering the FUT Birthday live friendlies proved a mixed bag, but No Clue FC provided a glimmer of hope and left Monday's live stream with Shaqiri firmly in sight.

Pack Luck

As mentioned in last week's write-up, there were some packs that needed addressing on stream, and it may just be the case that No Clue FC is harbouring some pretty impressive pack luck.

Not only was Atletico Madrid poacher Luis Suarez added to the squad, but he was soon joined by Yuri Berchiche, a dominant full back with skill moves, pace and defensive attributes aplenty.

The arrival of these stars permitted No Clue FC to look ahead, with the possibilities of linking the MLS to La Liga already whetting the appetite.

A New Arrival

Away from the stream, No Clue FC has found further success, with victories and progression the main item on the agenda.

Completing Shaiqiri's objectives proved tricky, with many games needed in order to secure the four volleys necessary to add the dynamic Swiss winger to the squad.

Thankfully, after a few attempts, Josef Martinez scored a flying volley that saw Shaqiri's objectives completed, and the Swiss star was swiftly added to the squad.

Since then, with the help of the RealSport guides, No Clue FC has started dipping their toes into the world of SBCs, with the very basics being completed before moving on to bigger things.

State of Play

With 13,000 coins in the bank, No Clue FC embarked on their very first spending spree, adding some key players to the squad in order to find links for new stars Suarez and Berchiche.

NEW LOOK - No Clue FC has seen some major upgrades

Suarez is already proving to be the perfect partner for Martinez, with the little and large dynamic working perfectly to help the side progress through division rivals.

Next Steps

With the main foundation objectives complete - and with FUT Birthday tokens expiring - the future is a little unclear for No Clue FC.

With FIFA 22's next promo still unclear, attention may turn to rising up the divisions, completing some basic SBCs, and attempting to add some more coins to the transfer kitty.
