New promo event arriving this week in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team

We thought FIFA 21 Ultimate Team may fizzle out after the culmination of the Team of the Season event, but EA has other ideas.

A new event has been confirmed to be arriving this week, but there is an element of mystery as to what it could entail.

Take a look at the new loading screen and what we could see released below.

Release Date

The new event is confirmed to be arriving this week on Friday, 11 June.

Whatever is released will arrive at the usual time of 1pm ET / 6pm BST, so get it in your diaries.

FIFA 21 Loading Screen

The new loading screen is certainly colourful, but it does not give much away.

The multicoloured loading screen could reflect the colourful Summer Heat event we saw last year, but could also be a nod to EURO 2020 too!

EURO 2020

As much as we want to see a EURO 2020 themed event, it looks unlikely as Konami has the exclusive rights to the tournament.

It's possible that EA manages to celebrate EURO 2020 in an unofficial way with the cards we see released in the coming weeks being a nod to the event, but it seems unlikely.

Either way, don't expect to see any proper logos or clearly identified EURO 2020 cards this year.

Summer Heat

We saw the Summer Heat promo arrive in FIFA 20 on 17 June - replacing the usual FUTTIES promo, and it brought back some of the best cards we'd seen in the game.

Could something similar be on the way this season? This is our guess as the colours suggest a multitude of cards could be returning to the game.
