The final Player of the Month (POTM) award of 2020 is up for grabs, but which Bundesliga stars are in contention?

Check out who could win December’s award below.

Release Date

EA has now released the official December nominees, so we could be seeing a new POTM card soon!

Erling Haaland's November POTM SBC does not expire for another two weeks though, so we would anticipate the release to be between Monday, 18 January and Friday, 22 January.

Robert Lewandowski (OVR 91)

Is Robert Lewandowski ever not in contention for Player of the Month?

The Polish striker scored five goals in December, taking his season total to 20 in all competitions.

Thomas Muller (OVR 86)

Two goals and an assist last month put Thomas Muller among the top performers in December.

A POTM card would be well deserved for Muller as he has shown incredible form over the past 12 months.

Lars Stindl (OVR 80)

Borussia Monchengladbach captain Lars Stindl scored an impressive hattrick last month against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The German forward totalled four goals and an assist in December.

Vincenzo Grifo (OVR 78)

Freiburg picked up 10 points from a possible 12 in December, with Vincenzo Grifo a key reason for their good form.

The Italian international scored three and provided two more for his teammates in a super month.

Nadiem Amiri (OVR 77)

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nadiem Amiri provided an assist in each of his four games in December.

Amiri also welcomed in the new year with a superb turn and backheel finish against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Florian Wirtz (OVR 68)

Remember the name.

17-year-old German wonderkid Florian Wirtz scored twice last month and is an exciting future prospect.
