FIFA 20: Second batch of Road to the Final players released – Hugo Lloris, Jordi Alba, Marquinhos & more

A new squad of RTTF players has been released, here is everything you need to know.


EA have released the second batch or Road to the Finals players on FIFA Ultimate Team, and there a number of gems we can’t wait to use.

The Road to the Finals program is all about team success. The players in the program, though all receiving a small initial boost, will all improve and receive additional boosts depending on the success of their team.

Each time their team advances they receive an in-form upgrade to the card. All in all, each player is in line to potentially earn seven upgrades each.

UEFA Champions League Upgrades:

  • Advancing to the Knockout Stage 
  • Winning in the first leg of Round of 16
  • Advancing to the Quarter-Final
  • Advancing to the Semi-Final
  • Advancing to the Final
  • Winning the Final

At 89 OVR, Lloris is in position to be one of the best keepers in the game – should Tottenham figure themselves out in time to do well in the competition…

Within this second squad there are three players available in SBCs: Papu Gomez and Idrissa Gueye or Angelino. Why the ‘or’? You’ll be able to pick one of them in SBCs.

Given there are rewards for players and their teams advancing, what happens when/if they get knocked out?

Well, simply, they’ll just stop receiving updates, but you should be left with a very good player, even if they fail to advance through a single stage.
