FIFA 19 Wonderkids: Best Brazilians to sign in Career Mode

South America has produced some of the greatest players in the world. Which one of these wonderkids form Brazil will go on to be the best?

Brazil has produced great players for decades. From Pele, Socrates, and Zico all the way to the genius’ of today like Neymar and Coutinho. Trying to get your hands on this generation of Brazilian stars is nearly impossible, but what about the next generation? Well, that might just be possible.

How to choose the best Brazilian wonderkids for FIFA 19 Career Mode

We are looking for the best wonderkids from Brazil in FIFA 19. We have looked for players aged 23 or younger at the start of Career Mode, with an overall rating of at least 73 and a potential of 81 or more. These are players that can slot into your lineup immediately without hurting you, and will eventually be a quality option for nearly every team in the world. They will be cheaper than the likes of Willian and Roberto Firmino, but they won’t come cheap. You’ll need to be willing to spend a big chunk of your transfer budget, but if you wait the price will be even higher.

A full list of ALL the Brazilian wonderkids is available at the bottom of the page

Gabriel Jesus (OVR 83 – POT 92)

Club: Manchester City

Work rate: High/High

Best stats: 92 agility, 91 balance, 88 positioning

Cost: £74 million (release clause)

Wage: £110,000 a week

Gabriel Jesus may qualify as a wonderkid thanks to his age, but he is already a fully fledged star. Jesus has 22 caps for Brazil and has scored 10 goals for the national side. He joined Manchester City in January 2017 for £27 million and has already scored 26 times for them, including 13 in his first full Premier League season.

Gabriel Jesus is a pacy player (92 agility, 87 acceleration, 85 sprint speed) who can take on defenders with ease (86 dribbling, 85 ball control, 91 balance) and most importantly score goals (84 finishing, 82 composure)

Vinicius Junior (OVR 77 – POT 92)

Age: 18

Positions: LW, RW

Club: Real Madrid

Work rate: High/Medium

Best stats: 94 sprint speed, 92 acceleration, 90 agility

Cost: £41.2 million (release clause)

Wage: £75,000 a week

Vinicius Junior was such a good prospect that Real Madrid agreed to pay Flamengo €46 million in May 2017 when he was just 16. Vinicius Junior stayed in Brazil until his 18th birthday this summer before making the switch. He has already scored three goals in three games for the Real Madrid B side, and has 17 goals in 19 appearances for the Brazil under-17 side.

In FIFA 19 Vinicius Junior has amazing potential and is one of the fastest players in the game (94 sprint speed, 92 acceleration, 90 agility) He has solid ball skills (81 dribbling, 80 ball control) but his end product still needs work (73 finishing, 70 short pass, 65 crossing)

Malcom (OVR 83 – POT 90)

Age: 21

Positions: RW

Club: Barcelona

Work rate: Medium/Medium

Best stats: 92 agility, 87 acceleration, 85 dribbling

Cost: £52.3 million

Wage: £132,000 a week

Malcom arrived in Europe in January 2016 with Bordeaux at age 18. He didn’t make much of an impact immediately, but after settling in he was more influential. He scored 20 goals for Bordeaux in two and a half seasons before Barcelona came calling, eventually settling on a €41 million deal this summer.

Malcom is already a well-rounded winger. Pacy (92 agility, 87 acceleration, 82 sprint speed) and capable with the ball at his feet (85 ball control, 85 dribbling), Malcom already has a solid end product to his game and can be a part of most sides without struggling (85 long shots, 83 short pass, 79 crossing, 75 finishing).

Arthur (OVR 82 – POT 90)

Age: 22

Positions: CM, CDM

Club: Barcelona

Work rate: Medium/Medium

Best stats: 85 short pass, 84 composure, 83 ball control

Cost: £46.7 million

Wage: £119,000 a week

Barcelona bought Arthur this summer for a fee that could be as high as £35 million from Brazilian club Gremio. The 22-year-old has already made two appearances for the Brazilian national side.

Arthur is a solid centre midfielder who can distribute the ball well (85 short pass, 82 vision, 80 long pass) and also go past defenders if need be (83 ball control, 83 balance, 82 dribbling). The Brazilian can also play without the ball and get stuck into tackles (76 stand tackle, 75 interceptions).

David Neres (OVR 79 – POT 87)

Age: 21

Positions: RW, LW, CAM

Club: Ajax

Work rate: High/Medium

Best stats: 91 agility, 88 sprint speed, 88 acceleration

Cost: £22.7 million

Wage: £19,000 a week

David Neres joined Ajax in January 2017 for a reported fee of £10.5 million having played just eight times for the Sao Paulo senior team. He appeared 12 times that season for Ajax, scoring three times, before exploding in the 2017-18 season. In 32 Eredivisie games he scored 14 times and is already one of Ajax’s best players.

In FIFA 19 David Neres is fast (91 agility, 88 sprint speed, 88 acceleration) and great with the ball at his feet (86 dribbling, 84 balance, 83 ball control). Those stats take the winger or attacking midfielder to a 79 overall, rising to a potential of 87.

Felipe Vizeu (OVR 75 – POT 87)

Age: 21

Positions: ST

Club: Udinese

Work rate: High/Medium

Best stats: 79 sprint speed, 79 strength, 78 heading accuracy

Cost: £21.1 million (release clause)

Wage: £20,000 a week

Felipe Vizeu joined Udinese this summer from Brazilian club Flamengo, where he scored 10 goals in 28 games. The striker has also scored four times for the Brazil U20 side, so expect a bright future for the 21-year-old.

Vizeu has huge potential (87) and can go on to be a powerful player (79 strength, 79 sprint speed, 78 heading accuracy). His 75 overall will cost £21.1 million with wages of £20,000 a week.

Raphinha (OVR 79 – POT 86)

Age: 21

Positions: RM, LM

Club: Sporting CP

Work rate: High/Medium

Best stats: 88 acceleration, 87 stamina, 86 sprint speed

Cost: £28.3 million

Wage: £13,000 a week

Raphinha moved to Sporting CP this summer from Portuguese club Vitoria Guimaraes, where he scored 18 goals in 43 games last season.

Raphinha already has excellent pace (88 acceleration, 86 sprint speed, 86 agility) and can run all day (stamina 87), making him a very effective wide player. He has strong ball skills to go around defenders (81 dribbling, 80 ball control) and can deliver a good ball into the box (76 crossing, 74 FK accuracy, 73 short pass). Raphinha is already a useful player and will only improve as the years go on.

Eder Militao  (OVR 75 – POT 86)

Age: 20

Positions: RB, CB

Club: FC Porto

Work rate: Medium/High

Best stats: 84 stamina, 80 aggression, 79 acceleration

Cost: £14.7 million

Wage: £8,000 a week

Eder Militao came to Porto this summer from Sao Paulo to play as a right back. While he was only minimally capped by Brazil at youth levels, he has already received his first senior cap for his country.

Primarily a right back, Eder Militao possesses only average athleticism (79 acceleration, 75 sprint speed, 75 agility) but he at least has the stamina (84) to keep running all game. Militao is a courageous defender (80 aggression) and should be considered for his 75 overall and 86 potential. He can bought for £14.7 million and wages of £8,000 a week on FIFA 19.

Wendel (OVR 75 – POT 86)

Age: 21

Positions: CM

Club: Sporting CP

Work rate: High/Medium

Best stats: 85 shot power, 83 long shots, 82 sprint speed

Cost: £19.4 million

Wage: £9,000 a week

Wendel arrived at Sporting CP this summer from Brazilian club Fluminense, where he made 33 league appearances and scored seven goals. He is not capped by Brazil at any level, but Wendel has enough potential on FIFA 19 to become one of the better central midfielders in the game.

He is already a well-rounded player that is deadly from range (85 shot power, 83 long shots) and has reasonable athleticism (82 sprint speed, 78 acceleration, 78 agility). Wendel’s ability on the ball is good (77 dribbling, 77 ball control) and he can distribute the ball well enough (75 short pass, 71 long pass) as well as make plays without the ball (75 stand tackle, 74 interceptions, 72 marking)

Richarlison (OVR 77 – POT 85)

Age: 21

Positions: LM, LW

Club: Everton

Work rate: High/High

Best stats: 83 acceleration, 83 dribbling, 83 sprint speed

Cost: £24 million (release clause)

Wage: £62,000 a week

Richarlison left Fluminense for Watford in August 2017 for a fee of £11.2 million. He played just one season there, scoring five times in the Premier League, before Everton swooped in with an offer that could hit £50 million. Richarlison has appeared four times for Everton this year and already scored three times.

The winger has good athleticism (83 acceleration, 83 sprint speed, 78 stamina) and is good with the ball at his feet (83 dribbling, 78 ball control). You can sign the wide man in January for £24 million with wages of £62,000 a week, getting you his 77 overall and 85 potential.
