January signings set to headline Winter Refresh promo

Following the brand new What IF event in FUT, EA's annual Winter Refresh promo should be right around the corner in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.

When is the FIFA 21 Winter Refresh Release Date?

With EA holding off on the Winter Refresh promo last Friday and dropping the 'What If' promo instead, we are expecting a teaser very soon in FUT 21.

Judging from previous Winter Refresh promos in FIFA 19 and FIFA 20, both arriving in February, we should see the rating refresh arrive early this month in Ultimate Team.

The Winter Refresh loading screen teaser could arrive during this week, with the promo likely to arrive on Friday, 5 March.

What are Winter Refresh cards?

Following the insane What If event last Friday in Ultimate Team, EA has set high standards for upcoming promo cards.

The Winter Refresh promo will see the players who have outperformed their basic OVR in FUT 21 receive a special Winter Refresh card.

Players who receive a Winter Refresh card will have their OVR boosted by around 5 OVR ratings, judging off of FIFA 20's promo.

Winter Refresh may also involve giving EA handing out special cards to players who have moved in the January transfer window.

Last year we saw some great cards in the XI, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen.

This year, the likes of Liverpool's Turkish centre back Ozan Kabak, Arsenal's Martin Odegaard, Moussa Dembele and youngster Amad Diallo could headline the promo.
