The future of FIFA 22 looks bright for PS4 players

EA is set to release FIFA 22 on current-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One, but what changes could we see?

Latest - FIFA 22 Trailer Revealed

The official FIFA 22 trailer has finally been revealed!

The reveal trailer has got fans hyped for the upcoming release, featuring cover star Kylian Mbappe, along with top talents Trent Alexander-Arnold and Christian Pulisic.

The trailer gives us an idea of how EA will implement real-life player movements into FIFA 22 gameplay.

FIFA 22 Release Date

FIFA 22 will likely be released between Friday, 24 September and Friday, 8 October, 2021, judging by the release in previous years.

NEXT GEN TECHNOLOGY: PS5 could revolutionise FIFA 22

The game is expected to be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC Windows (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia platforms.

We are expecting EA to drop a Demo version of FIFA 22 prior to the release of the full game, which will be available from approximately 15 September 2021.

EA Play Live date confirmed

Get it in your diaries folks, EA Play Live will arrive on Thursday, 22 July.

Electronic Arts revealed the official date on Twitter and it also confirms that the event will run separately to E3 2021.

E3 2021 will begin a month earlier on Saturday, 12 June, and end on Tuesday, 15 June.

You will be able to watch on a live stream on various social channels, and at the very least we should get a first look at the FIFA 22 trailer.

FIFA 22 on PlayStation 4

We're yet to have any official confirmation as to whether or not we'll see the next FIFA title on the PS4, but we are fully expecting EA to cater for previous-gen players.

There have been real struggles for many people to get their hands on the PS5, and there are no signs that the stocking issues will be sorted soon.

This means that a large number of FIFA fans will likely still be playing on PS4 when FIFA 22 is released, increasing the chances of EA releasing a previous-gen version of the game.

There was no demo for FIFA 21, but we are sure that EA will release one this year ahead of FIFA 22.

News on this could come soon as the demo will come out a month or so before the full game.
