How to Unlock

Fancy having the big German in your side in order to sure up your back four?

Well you can, and you can have him for free.

You'll have to complete the following Objectives though.

• Defensive Delivery: Assist 3 goals using Defenders in the Live FUT Friendly: Managerial Masterpiece, with at least 8 Ligue 1 players in your starting squad
• Reward: One Gold Pack + 300 XP
• Crossing Charm: Assist 4 goals with Crosses using Ligue 1 players in the Live FUT Friendly: Managerial Masterpiece, with at least 8 Ligue 1 players in your starting squad
• Reward: One 75+ Rated Player Pack + 300 XP
• German Goals: Score in 8 separate matches using German players in the Live FUT Friendly: Managerial Masterpiece, with at least 8 Ligue 1 players in your starting squad
• Reward: One Premium Gold Pack + 300 XP
• Helpful Heading: Score 2 Headers using Ligue 1 players in the Live FUT Friendly: Managerial Masterpiece, with at least 8 Ligue 1 players in your starting squad

Player Review

The player you never knew you needed, or do you?

Volland joins Wan Bissaka and Jesus Navas as a new centre back from the FUT Freeze promo, but this is the most unorthodox of the lot.

As far as defenders go, this isn't awful.

We'll look at the bare bones of this one. 82-rated pace, 84-rated defending and 87-rated physicality is very good. 81 passing and 79 dribbling are nice bonuses.

He's seen a huge +43 to his defending, which is to be expected from a striker heading to the centre of defensive and, on the flip side, a -20 to his shooting.

H/H work rates is an issue, his positioning will be pretty sloppy but, considering he's free, we can't ask for everything!

The move to Ligue 1 means he's slightly less appealing and probably less likely to feature in many starting sides, but, for a free card, this is decent.
