EA Sports FC 24 is coming this year, with the game marking the start of a new era for the titular developer.
Splitting away from FIFA, EA Sports FC will be a brand new game that combines all the classic features with new innovations to take the genre forward.
One such innovation that will likely be built upon is the impressive license portfolio that EA boast.
Despite their split from FIFA, we aren't expecting EA to lose many, if any, of the licenses included in FIFA 23.
With that in mind, let's take a look at all the latest EA Sports FC 24 licenses.
EA Sports FC 24 Licenses
Licenses may seem a trivial part of the game, but the truth is that they can turn people off the game before they have even given it a try! Squabbles for licenses have never been more fierce than in recent years, with Konami, EA Sports, and many other games battling for exclusivity over the game's top players, leagues, and clubs.
In recent seasons, eFootball has claimed some major leagues and teams from EA, with several Serie A sides taking the side of the free-to-play game. EA holds the majority though, and that will stay the same for now.
According to EA's latest announcement, the new game will be "built on a foundation of inclusivity and innovation, fans will experience unrivalled authenticity with access to more than 19,000 fully licensed players, 700 teams, and 30 leagues, with the support of over 300 global football partners that will allow further expansion into areas including both women’s and grassroots football."
Confirmed as partners so far are the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, WSL, NWSL, and CONMEBOL, with more set to follow. With such a vast portfolio of licenses at its disposal, EA already holds the upper hand over its rivals.

Premier League Mega Deal
EA has signed a new six-year deal with the Premier League ahead of the release of FC 24. According to various reports, the partnership will be worth close to £500 million per year, which is almost double the previous annual rate.
So, what does this actually mean for FC 24 itself? The new game will have the rights to all 20 Premier League clubs and everything that comes with them. FC 24 will feature legitimate Premier League club names, players, kits, badges, and stadiums for players to enjoy.
La Liga Expansion
EA Sports signed a major sponsorship deal with La Liga several months ago, making them the new major sponsor for the league.
What this means for EA Sports' FC 24 remains to be seen, but there's every chance we could see the game branch into a live streaming service, or a place to watch match highlights.
“EA SPORTS FC is committed to delivering the most authentic and immersive experiences in global football," said David Jackson, VP Brand, EA SPORTS FC.
"Our innovative new partnership with LaLiga further elevates that ambition and solidifies both organizations' position at the centre of football culture.
“The visible reach and scale of this partnership is deeply exciting, as is the opportunity to deliver incredible experiences for fans through in-game innovation, interactive entertainment, and grassroots initiatives.”
