Destiny 2's fifth expansion, Lightfall, inches closer and closer, ushering closure in the Light and Darkness saga until The Final Shape concludes it all.
In this expansion, Guardians will travel to the neon-soaked city of Neomuna on the planet of Neptune to take the fight to Calus and his newly formed army of darkness-wielding Cabal who work directly under the mastermind behind it all, the Witness.
This expansion, just like any other new Destiny 2 expansion will have tons of new content and features with it. Players can expect the new city of Neptune, a new subclass named Strand, and much more.
That begs the question - When does Destiny 2: Lightfall release?

When does Destiny 2: Lightfall release?
Destiny 2: Lightfall releases Tuesday, February 28, 2023. The expansion was originally planned for 2022 but The Witch Queen's release in 2021 delayed it.
The Lightfall expansion, like the game it's made for, will be available on PC (via Steam or the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Lightfall will serve as "the beginning of the end," according to the developers over at Bungie, as it'll serve as the climax and resolution to the game's storyline.
Destiny 2 players can pre-order Lightfall right now, gaining instant access to an Exotic Ghost and a Legendary Emblem. Players can also pre-order the Lightfall expansion and its Annual Pass, gaining the aforementioned Exotic Ghost and Legendary Emblem while also being rewarded with the Quicksilver Storm Exotic Auto Rifle and an Exotic emote.
When pre-ordering Lightfall, players have the option to pre-order it for Xbox, Windows, PlayStation, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
