If you're a veteran Destiny 2 Guardian, it will all seem a little familiar. Bungie likes to stick to a schedule.
LATEST - New Class-Specific Leg Armour
While we wait for the update, let's talk about some of the new gear coming to Destiny 2 via the Season of the Splicer update. We don't know the full extent of what's coming loot-wise, but Bungie has shared some information about three pieces of class-specific gear. It's safe to say that these would be fine additions to your collection, Guardians.
If you're a Hunter in Destiny 2, these are going to be a must-have. They help you charge your Super Ability faster and they make it that little bit more powerful.
" Allows Hunters to feast upon Orbs of Power, charging their Super more quickly and making it more potent."
The Path of Burning Steps
This one's for the Titans out there. Solar Eliminations are going to increase your damage output and increase your Stasis Resistance. Not bad at all.
" Titan armor that converts Solar eliminations into increased weapon damage and makes them more difficult to lock down with Stasis."
Boots of the Assembler
If you're playing a Support Warlock, these boots will help make you more effective in a fireteam. It also adds noble benefits to everything!
" Condenses a Warlock rifts’ healing or empowering energy into projectiles that seek out their allies to bless them with noble benefits."
Destiny 2 Season 14 Update Time & Schedule
Destiny 2's Season 14 title update is going to align itself with the game's weekly reset. This means that we're expecting things to start happening on Tuesday, May 11th, at around 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 BST.
Thankfully, Bungie has shared the full update timeline which means we also know how long the server is expected to be down. You can check out the 3.2.0 update timeline below:
- Maintenance Begins: 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 BST
- Players Removed & D2 Goes Offline: 09:45 PST / 12:45 EST / 17:45 BST
- Update 3.2.0 Releases: 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST
- Maintenance Concludes: 11:00 PST / 14:00 EST / 19:00 BST
Bungie is usually pretty good at sticking to their own schedules and an hour of Server Downtime isn't unexpected.
It might be worth keeping an eye on Bungie's support account on May 11th, just in case, something does go wrong, though. It isn't impossible to think that the downtime could be extended if there's something wrong with implementing the update.
Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer
What's actually happening in Destiny 2's next update, though? Well... The Vex are back and they're causing a lot of issues. You can check out the latest trailer below:
The Endless Night is coming and it's up to you and your Guardians to stop them. You'll have the help of Mithrax, the last Splicer, but you'll need more than an extra pair of hands.
