In order to get the Rose Legendary Hand Cannon you'll have to first complete your placements in the new-look, overhauled Crucible. It's a reward for participating in the ranked Crucible experience. You need to complete seven placement matches in your Placement Series and get placed in a Competitive Division—there is no required rank or placement level.

To get it all started, head over to Lord Shaxx at the Tower and pick up the "Dividing the Ladder" quest from him, he, and this quest, will get you started for the Competitive mode and will walk you through the Placement Series process.

Once you've got your Rose with all of its thorns, you can also change what type of thorns it has, in this case, its rolls. You can complete a Competitive Division challenge once a week to earn a roll of the Rose Hand Cannon. It's important to note that the challenge is available per character, meaning that you can get it done three times a week if you so choose.

When it comes to rolls, the Hand Cannon has extremely good PvP perks. For barrel and magazine, you can try your hand at Corkscrew Rifle and Accurized Rounds, alternatively, you can go for Quickdraw and Explosive Payload. Rose is pretty solid with a handful of PvP perks—it's up to you to choose.
