How To Get The Exotic Cloudstrike in Destiny 2

Like any Exotic weapon, the Exotic Cloudstrike Sniper Rifle in Destiny 2 is well worth the time you put in.

Unfortunately, you can't just get this Exotic weapon from one quest like others... But, that doesn't mean it is impossible!

Below, we've got everything you need to know about how you can get the Exotic Cloudstrike.

Empire Hunts

Unlike most Exotic weapons, Destiny 2 players will need to grind Beyond Light's Empire Hunts game mode in order to get the Exotic Cloudstrike.

This is because it is actually a random drop from this mode, rather than a quest reward.

In order to open-up Empire Hunts, you'll need to talk to Variks. He can be found in the Vestian Outpost and Europa.

Once you've spoken to him, you'll need to play through both his main questline and Sabotage quests in order to unlock Elective Difficulty Empire Hunts.

Variks Quests

The first mission, "Old Secrets, New Challenges", will play out like any other mission.

Then, after this, you will need to accept another quest from the Exo Stranger; "A Hard Rain Falls".

With both of these done, the last set of Sabotage quests will be ready for you to accept from Variks.

After you've accepted and completed all of these, you'll be able to play the Empire Hunts where the Exotic Cloudstrike could actually drop.

Increasing difficulty does not improve the drop rate, so it is best to just grind easy playlists until you get your hands on the weapon!
