Destiny 2 Showcase revealed for next month

Shortly after the start of Solstice of Heroes in Destiny 2, Bungie has revealed that a Destiny 2 stream will take place next month.

As you can see in the tweet from the devs down below, the showcase will take place on August 24, so it is still quite a way out.

No details on the showcase have been revealed, but it'll likely be a stream on Twitch, going over a future event for Destiny 2.

Also, aside from the August 24 date, we don't know when the showcase is due to take place, but we'll update you as soon as a date is confirmed.

With a new season of Destiny 2 due to begin in early August, the showcase will likely focus on the next big Destiny 2 expansion, which isn't set to release until next year now.

"Survive the Truth," which is the caption that accompanies the showcase reveal tweet, doesn't say much about the content, but Witch Queen will probably be the focus.

Witch Queen Expansion

In a blog post earlier this year, Bungie delayed the Witch Queen expansion to 2022, saying:

"Last summer, we outlined our ambition for the next era in Destiny 2 by announcing the full arc, starting with Beyond Light, followed by the Witch Queen and Lightfall. As we began to scale production on the Witch Queen last year, we made the difficult but important decision to move its release to early 2022; we also realized we needed to add an additional unannounced chapter after Lightfall to fully complete our first saga of Destiny."

It's shaping up to be pretty exciting, with Bungie saying:

"The Witch Queen will light the fire on a strongly interconnected narrative across Lightfall and beyond, unlike anything we’ve ever attempted before, with characters, arcs, heroes and villains that persist over multiple future releases."

It'll be great to see more from the game in the August Destiny 2 Showcase. We'll update you when we hear more.
