It's update time, Guardians! Destiny 2 Season 14 is almost here and it looks like it's going to be another great season of content. Here's the latest on what's coming as well as information about when the update is going to be actually released.
This will include server downtime information, so if you're planning on playing some raids later, keep this information in mind.
LATEST - New Class-Specific Armaments
There's a lot of new stuff being added to Destiny 2 in the Season of the Splicer update, especially if you consider this isn't even a major title update. Armaments are at the core of any loot-based title and Season 14 is adding some new Class-specific gear that you're going to want to know about.
We know there's going to be more to unlock, but right now we have information about three new bits of leg armour that should help you become that little bit more potent in your fight against The Vex and the Endless Night.
We've got everything you need to know about those below:
If you're a Hunter in Destiny 2, these are going to be a must-have. They help you charge your Super Ability faster and they make it that little bit more powerful.
" Allows Hunters to feast upon Orbs of Power, charging their Super more quickly and making it more potent."
The Path of Burning Steps
This one's for the Titans out there. Solar Eliminations are going to increase your damage output and increase your Stasis Resistance. Not bad at all.
" Titan armor that converts Solar eliminations into increased weapon damage and makes them more difficult to lock down with Stasis."
Boots of the Assembler
If you're playing a Support Warlock, these boots will help make you more effective in a fireteam. It also adds noble benefits to everything!
" Condenses a Warlock rifts’ healing or empowering energy into projectiles that seek out their allies to bless them with noble benefits."
Release Date & Time
Season 14 will begin with the next weekly reset, which is on Tuesday, May 11th.
At the time of the weekly reset, the downtime will begin and is expected to last for around one hour.

Bungie is usually pretty good at keeping to their schedules, as Destiny 2 players will know, but it might be worth keeping an eye on Bungie Help on May 11th just in case.
Season 13 started an hour earlier though, at 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 BST, so this could also be the case. We have had Daylight Savings since then, though, which has put the clocks forwards an hour.
Season of the Splicer
The main attraction of Destiny 2 Season 14 is going to be the return of Destiny's first raid: Vault of Glass. There's also new Weekly Pinnacle Missions, a new Fireteam Mode, and a whole lot more.
This is going to return on May 22nd at 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST, so just over a week into the next season. Bungie has stated that they are tweaking it slightly to make sure it meets the current standards of content they want for Destiny 2.
For example, the opening area will now be a private space for you and your fireteam and you won't be able to explore Venus; This explorable area is currently not returning to the Destiny series.
