Xbox Free Play Days: Download These Relaxing Games This Weekend

Everyone loves a freebie right? Xbox has you covered this weekend because you will be able to play a variety of games for absolutely nothing.

And that's not all, if you enjoy the games you can then buy them with a massive discount.

It doesn't get much better than that, well I guess apart from being totally free forever, but this months Games With Gold offered up some fantastic free to keep games this month.

Release Date

The games are available to play now and will be free to play until February 7 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

Eligibility

Players need to have an active Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription in order to play the games.

The Games

The games that will be playable during this free weekend are,

• The Sims 4
• Puyo Puyo Tetris 2

Although you've probably heard of The Sims and Tetris before, if you haven't then here is some more information.

The Sims 4

Live The Sims life this weekend! The Sims 4 will be available to play during Free Play Days weekend. Create your own unique characters with dynamic personalities, customize every detail of your home and explore vibrant worlds, or grow new relationships and start a brand new family. Unleash your imagination!

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2

As part of the Puyo Puyo series’ 30th anniversary festivities, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is available to play for free this weekend on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One! Jump into online puzzle battles for up to four players, or try out the recently released co-op Boss Raid mode. You’ll have your pick of a large roster of characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog and four new characters that are rolling out today as part of a brand-new content update! Also dig into the RPG-inspired Skill Battle mode with team-based puzzle play featuring skills, stats, equippable Item Cards, and more!

Gamerscore and achievements will be kept once the free weekend is over, meaning if you decide to purchase the games you don't need to get them all over again.

How To Install

Players can install them either by going to Xbox.com and logging in and then finding the games in the store.

Or through the console, go to the Subscriptions tab and find the games there.

How To Keep Them

If you really like either game and want to continue playing after the free weekend, both games will be on sale this weekend too.
