Future Cyberpunk 2077 updates may be delayed

It has been a rough week for CD Projekt Red after their systems were hacked and the source code for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 were stolen and reportedly sold.

But, we’re still looking ahead towards the 1.2 update and no doubt CD Projekt Red will be looking to soldier on and not let this incident deter them from their plans.

So when is the 1.2 update coming out?

When is the Cyberpunk 1.2 update coming out?

The 1.1 update was released in January 2021, fixing many of the issues that were present in the game.

But Cyberpunk 2077 is still far from being a polished game, so CDPR will be looking to iron out some more kinks in this next 1.2 update.

According to their roadmap, both the 1.1 and 1.2 updates were scheduled to come out in early 2021.

Cyberpunk 2077 roadmap

The roadmap doesn’t give an exact date, but both points on the roadmap are close together, which makes us believe that the 1.2 update is scheduled for release at some time in late February, so hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

CD Projekt Red hasn’t announced whether this recent hacking incident will delay their plans, but nothing indicates that it will.

PS Store

Cyberpunk 2077 is still missing from the PlayStation Store, after being removed due to the console versions being extremely broken at launch.

It is rumoured that the 1.2 update will fix enough of the issues that Sony will add the game back to the PlayStation Store, which should hopefully restore some confidence in the game, and CD Projekt Red as a whole.
