Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the hottest and most highly anticipated games of 2020.
The game was originally due for release on November 19th but it was delayed until December 10th.
Ahead of the launch CD Projekt Red have revealed a lot more new information about the game.
Ahead of the games release on December 10th, CD Projekt Red have released some new videos showing off different gameplay and technical aspects.
The videos range from showing off Keanu Reeves' character, Johnny Silverhand, to the music, and development techniques.
The video shows Keanu Reeves' character Johnny Silverhand and the connection he shares with V.
It also gives us a behind the scenes look at Keanu Reeves doing motion capture for the game.
In the Score and Music video we see the composers, Marcin Przybyłowicz (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), P.T. Adamczyk (GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales), and Paul Leonard-Morgan (Dredd, Limitless, Battlefield: Hardline) discussing how they created the original soundtrack for Cyberpunk 2077.
In the JALI episode the focus is on the innovative technological solutions used in the game.
These include lip and facial expressions, as well as lip syncing.
It also shows how JALI makes the performances look realistic across 11 localized languages.
To wrap things up, CD PROJEKT RED shared a gameplay trailer, showcasing what to expect when the game launches next month.
Cyberpunk 2077 was originally scheduled to launch on November 19th, the same day as the PS5 launched in most parts of the world.
Unfortunately CD Projekt Red announced that the game was being delayed until December 10th.
In a social media post they broke the news to fans:
“Today, we’ve decided to move the release date of Cyberpunk 2077 by 21 days. The new release date is December 10th.
The biggest challenge for us right now is shopping the game on current-gen, next-gen, and PC at the same time, which requires us to prepare and test 9 versions of it while work from home. We’re aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says that 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do.
Some of you might also be wondering what these words mean in the light of us saying we achieved a gold master some time ago. Passing certification, or ‘going gold’, means the game is ready, can be completed, and has all the content in it. But it doesn’t mean we stop working on it and raising the quality bar. On the contrary, this is the time where many improvements are being made which will then be distributed via a Day 0 patch.
We feel we have an amazing game on our hands and are willing to make every decision, even the hardest ones, if it ultimately leads to you getting a video game you’ll fall in love with.”
This news disappointed many players, but it is understandable considering they need to make 9 different builds of the game.
Hopefully this is the final delay and the game can finally be released this year.
Cyberpunk 2077 launches on December 10th on Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC via Steam & GOG, and Google Stadia.
