Cyberpunk 2077 is a game we've had to very patiently wait for. CD Projekt RED has been forced to delay this title a total of four times now. Originally slated for an April 2020 release, Cyberpunk is now set for release next month.
Some new footage of Night City has been revealed and it definitely wets the appetite!
A new perspective
Fresh footage from Cyberpunk 2077 was shared on German TV, providing another look at the hotly anticipated game.
The video was shared to Reddit and provides a new look at Night City:
There's a real feel of Blade Runner's dystopian Los Angeles to Night City. As we've seen in promotional imagery, the city is awash with neon lights, skyscrapers and massive advertisement screens.
Overall, though, Night City is its own thing, to compare it other Sci-Fi locations is doing it a disservice.
Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) is also seen in this video, as well as a sneak peek at Cyberpunk's dialogue system. There's even a snippet of the character creation mechanism shown.
From what we see here, you can have an impressive amount of choice when designing your character. The amount of detail the game goes into with the facial tattoos and scaring and even teeth is admirable.
In addition, if you block out the German dub, we also hear some of the game's original soundtrack.
Showcased here are "A Like Supreme", "The Ballad of Buck Ravers", "Chippin' in", "Black Dog", "Hole in the sun", and "Game Over".
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on 10th December for PS4, Xbox One, PC & Stadia. 2077 will also be coming to the next-gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2021.
