CD Projekt Red Release Update on Februarys' Security Breach

Today, CD Projekt Red has released an update on the security breach that happened in February 2021.

They say that "Today, we have learned new information regarding the breach, and now have reason to believe that internal data illegally obtained is currently being circulated on the internet."

They go on to confirm what details might be out there currently.

"We are not able to confirm the exact contents of the data a in question, though we believe it may include current/former employee and contractor details in addition to data related to our games."

It's not clear how this will affect players of Cyberpunk 2077 and other CDPR games, if at all. It seems to be affecting employees more predominantly.

You can see the full statement below.

In terms of their games, we are still awaiting the 1.3 update of Cyberpunk 2077. We don't know when it is due to come out, and we still haven't received an update.
