It's been over two months since Cyberpunk 2077 first released on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Safe to say, CD Projekt Red's latest release probably could have shipped in a better state, but that's a completely different can of worms that's best not opened yet again.
At this stage, however, a lot of fans of the game are starting to wonder a) if the game has a New Game Plus mode (Hint: it doesn't) and b) whether the developer actually has plans to release a New Game Plus mode at all.
In fact, if you have a quick check of the Cyberpunk Sub-Reddit, there's A LOT of requests to see New Game Plus to be added to the game.
The addition of New Game Plus makes complete sense, not just because the games' main campaign is relatively short at (roughly) 20 hours, but also with such a vast city to explore, there's so much to see and do.
And after accumulating all those upgrades and enhancements, why wouldn't you want to dive right back into the game, but absolutely tooled to the nines.
Is Cyberpunk 2077 NG+ Coming?
The good news is that yes, CD Projekt Red does appear to be working on New Game Plus in some fashion.
However, it's worth considering that this promise was made a long time ago and well before the troubles that befell the game around launch.
Whilst most games will release a NG+ mode as standard, we would imagine that any plans for NG+ in Cyberpunk have been heavily impacted by the various bugs and issues that hit the game at launch.
CD Projekt will likely be focussing on more important updates and glitches as a matter of priority first and foremost.
Will Cyberpunk 1.2 Update Add NG+?
Based on the developer's own roadmap, it's the updates that will come after 1.12 that will most likely add New Game Plus and further content and features.
Though not mentioned on the roadmap by name, we know that after 1.12 CD Projekt Red plans to add Free DLC, next-gen updates and probably more.
But if you're hoping for New Game Plus to launch with 1.12, we wouldn't hold out much hope.
