The first-ever all women's CS:GO tournament is here. Seeking not only to show off professional gamers but to inspire other young female gamers to chase their dreams.

Identifying as a female in the gaming industry can sometimes feel like an uphill battle. With 57% of females getting harassment after revealing their gender, it makes sense that there are way fewer female professional gamers.

But with the rise of Dignitas, Godsent, and CLG Red, there has never been a better time to be a female gamer in the esports arena.

Who is taking part in the all women tournament?

The teams have not yet been announced. However, two big names in the esports industry are working together to support this event.

The International Esports Federation (IESF) will be working with GirlGamer Esports Festival to bring viewers the best of professional women's CS:GO players. They are working together to spread inclusivity and acceptance ideals in this industry.

Event details for CS:GO all women tournament

The event will be part of the World Esports Championship. It will take place in Indonesia this December. No further details have yet been released, but in the lead-up to the event, more details will be updated.

The tournament will feature different esports and national teams competing across different titles. The prize pool will be $500,000, a much larger pool than $55,000 in 2021.

How to get involved

As the event is so far away, there are not many details on how to get involved. But it is safe to assume that the all women's CS:GO event will be streamed on their official Twitch channel.

It is most likely that the event will have an in-person audience too, so tickets may soon be available for the historical event.
