COD Mobile's next update is almost here and there's more than just multiplayer content on the way... The dead have risen once more and there's a brand new Zombies experience coming to COD Mobile in Undead Siege. What makes this interesting is that it isn't really like anything any Call of Duty title has seen before. Could this be a tester for what's next in the mainstream console titles? Here's everything we know.
When Does Undead Siege Start?
COD Mobile's Season 6 update is due to arrive at 17:00 PST / 20:00 EST on July 30th and 01:00 BST on July 31st. However, the Undead Siege event doesn't start until a day later.
The official Call of Duty Blog Post regarding the new Zombies experience simply says "July 31st", but we're expecting it to begin exactly a day after the Season 6 update is released.
This means we should see the Undead Siege content become available around 17:00 PST / 20:00 EST on July 31st and 01:00 BST on August 1st. There's no word as to how long the event is going to be available, but we're under the assumption that it will last for at least two weeks. It could even last longer, continuing throughout the entirety of the season.
What Do You Need To Do In Undead Siege?
Undead Siege is an escalating event set on the Isolated Battle Royale map. It blends the roaming of Black Ops Cold War's Outbreak with Tower Defence gameplay to create a truly unique Zombies experience.
" Scavenge for supplies and equipment during the day, and when the sun goes down, fight for your life against wave after wave of zombies as they attempt to dismantle your mobile base."
Each night, the Zombies are going to become stronger and more numerous. You're going to need to make sure you're working together as well as using everything at your disposal to ensure your success. Thankfully, you won't be struggling through the undead for no reason...
There's Going To Be Rewards Up For Grabs
At the moment, we only know about a handful of rewards that are coming with the Undead Siege event in COD Mobile Season 6.
" Earn 25+ grindable rewards by progressing in the mode, including highlights like the Shorty — Aether Machine Weapon Blueprint and a Zombified Tank Dempsey Operator Skin."
In addition to the Zombified Tank Dempsey Operator Skin and the Shorty - Aether Machine Weapon Blueprint, the following will also be available throughout the season:
- FR .556 Weapon Blueprint - Undead Watcher
- Operator Skin - Zombified Edward Richtofen
These rewards are earned by collecting "ore" in Undead Siege, Multiplayer and Battle Royale which can be mined for Aether. It will make more sense when it comes out, we hope.
