The world of Call of Duty is about to change as a whole new generation of gamers gets to experience Modern Warfare 2.
Players on PlayStation, meanwhile, will get to experience the sequel to Infinity Ward's rebooted Modern Warfare trilogy early with an exclusive early access beta just for those wanting to play on their PS4 and PS5. Here's when it is and how to join in.
When is The PlayStation Early Access Beta For Modern Warfare 2?
There are currently a grand total of four beta sessions confirmed for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 but before all that, fans will get a good look at the upcoming title via the full multiplayer reveal at the Call of Duty Next showcase.
After this event, the PlayStation-exclusive Modern Warfare 2 Early Access Beta will kick off on Friday, 16th September 2022 and will run until Saturday, 17th September 2022.
This early access beta for Modern Warfare 2 is the first of two that will occur during September and will only be available to players on PlayStation who have pre-ordered the game ahead of time.
Once this early access beta for Modern Warfare 2 comes to a close, an open beta will follow starting Sunday, 18th September 2022 and running all the way until Tuesday, 20th September 2022. This open beta is still PlayStation exclusive but will allow everyone on either a PS4 or PS5 to enjoy the game.
For those who have friends on other platforms, however, you can also play with them as an early access crossplay beta for Modern Warfare 2 will be kicking off on Thursday, 22nd September 2022 before opening up to all players on Saturday, 24th September 2022.
