Black Ops Cold War is coming to the end of its lifetime as the current Call of Duty title and that means we only have one season of Black Ops Cold War content before Warzone heads back to Season One with Vanguard. Here's everything we know about Warzone Season 6 and what to expect...

START DATE - When does Season 6 drop?

Season 6 is set to start simultaneously across both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War - so, we have a pretty good idea of when the new content is going to be available.

Looking at what Treyarch and Raven Software have shared so far, we know that Warzone Season 6 should release on October 7th. However, what time specifically will the update drop? Well... We can look at the release of Season 5 for that.

There's a bit of a schedule and we should see Warzone Season 6 released at these times:

  • 21:00 October 6th - PST
  • 23:00 October 6th - EST
  • 04:00 October 7th - BST

Preloading should be available - Call of Duty will confirm this when they release the full Season 6 Content Roadmap soon.

VERDANSK CHANGES - Adler's blown it up, basically

We don't know exactly what's changing in Verdansk - just yet - but the Season 6 Cinematic Trailer has teased some pretty major changes. In Black Ops Cold War's post-launch narrative, Adler went a little rogue for a while and set up a load of explosives under Verdansk in an effort to stop Stich and the Numbers Program.

These explosives have started to go off... It looks insane, frankly.

As you can see in the Cinematic Trailer below, Downtown and Stadium - at the very least - are being turned to rubble. We expect this destruction to stretch across all the urban areas of Verdansk '84. This could be one of the best map changes we've seen in Warzone yet!

HALLOWEEN - Haunting of Verdansk 2.0?

Season 6 is going to take place across October and we know what that means... Halloween and Halloween Events in games. Warzone isn't a stranger to spooky events - the Haunting of Verdansk in 2020 was one of the best Warzone events we've seen - however, what do we know about the next Halloween Event to hit Warzone?

Well... There are rumours it's going to be called All Hallows Eve - not Haunting of Verdansk 2: Electric Boogaloo - and it's going to start tying the Dark Aether storyline in Black Ops Cold War's Zombies mode to Vanguard's Zombies mode. Exciting stuff.

We should see the return of a few Halloween-themed Operator Bundles and there are also rumours that Ghostface from the Scream franchise is going to be added at some point.
