Black Ops Cold War's Alex Mason is finally coming to Warzone as an Operator

The Numbers Event was a little bit of a let-down, all things considered, but Warzone is making up for it with a huge Season 6 update. One thing we're getting out of it is an Operator we've all been waiting for. Alex Mason is back and headed to Warzone - and Black Ops Cold War - as an Operator. Here's everything we know...

CONFIRMED - Alex Mason, reporting for duty!

We can't quite believe we're writing this, but Alex Mason is finally joining Black Ops Cold War and Warzone as an Operator in Season 6.

Here's a little run-down on his character, although we all already know who this Black Ops legend is...

" Hailing from the harsh wilderness within the Golden Heart of Alaska known as Fairbanks, Mason is a former Marine whose service record and reputation are mired in controversy. Despite his impulsive and reckless behaviour, his effectiveness in the field is indisputable.

Mason is responsible for single-handedly neutralizing Doctor Friedrich Steiner, assisting the CIA in preventing a Nova 6 attack, eliminating Nikita Dragovich, and helping Adler and his team in stopping Operation Greenlight from destabilizing the world during the Cold War."

Mason will be available in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War as an Operator from the start of Season 6. You can unlock him at Tier 0 of the Season 6 Battle Pass. This should mean he as an Ultra-Rarity skin at Tier 100 - which might be the skin pictured above.

RELEASE DATE - When does Warzone Season 6 start?

At the moment, we don't know for certain when Warzone Season 6 is due to start - this is mainly because Treyarch and Raven Software hasn't said anything about it yet. We can hazard a guess at when it's due to start, though, by looking at the Warzone Season 5 Battle Pass.

October 6th is the magic date and we should see the Season 6 update for Warzone release at the following times based on this:

• 21:00 PST on release day;
• 23:00 EST on release day;
• 04:00 BST on the day after release day;

Treyarch has confirmed that they're going to start revealing more information about Black Ops Cold War's final round-based Zombies map, so that means a content roadmap and confirmation regarding the release date for Warzone Season 6 isn't far behind.
