Raven Software are a handful of hours away from releasing the next update for Warzone and we are here to talk about how big the Season 5 Reloaded update is and when you can download it yourself. There's not as much being added - compared to the Season 4 Reloaded update, for example. However, you're still going to need to download it.
DOWNLOAD SIZE - How big is the update?
At the moment, we don't actually know how big the Season 5 Reloaded update is going to be - Raven Software doesn't share information about the download size until right before it becomes available, usually.
We can look at the Season 4 Reloaded update, though, as a guideline to make a rough estimate.
Warzone's Season 4 Reloaded update was the following sizes - dependent on console - when it was released:
- PlayStation 5:
- 8.9 GB
- PlayStation 4:
- 8.9 GB
- Xbox One Series X / Xbox One Series S:
- 9.2 GB
- Xbox One:
- 9.2 GB
- 9.2 GB (Warzone Only)
- 10.4 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare)
With Season 5 Reloaded adding a fraction of the content, we could be looking at an update that's around 5GB. However, the Season 5 Reloaded update could also be adding the content coming later in the month - for the upcoming Numbers Event.
This means we could be looking at a similar size as stated above - however, we don't think we'll be seeing anything bigger than 9.5GB.
RELEASE DATE - When can you download it?
Warzone's Season 5 Reloaded update isn't getting a preloading period like Black Ops Cold War's version of the Season 5 Reloaded update. This means you'll be able to download it at the same time as the content goes live. This has been specified by Call of Duty as the following times:
- 21:00 September 8th - PST
- 23:00 September 8th - EST
- 04:00 September 9th - BST
With this in mind, we should see Raven Software release the Patch notes for the Season 5 Reloaded update within the next 24 hours - This should contain a specific download size for the Season 5 Reloaded title update.
At the moment, we know that Clash and Iron Trails '84 are being added - however, that's pretty much it. Hudson, the new Operator, is being added "In-Season" and a lot of the other content is being held for the upcoming Numbers Event.
