Warzone Pacific: Is a Resurgence Playlist still available in Warzone?

The Warzone Pacific update is the largest update content-wise in Warzone history. It's also going to take up quite a bit of your storage space, the download isn't as small as we'd like, but there's a lot of content being removed to make way for the new stuff. We know what's going on with Rebirth Island - but what about all the other playlists? Here's what's going on with Resurgence after the Warzone Pacific update.

UPDATE - Raven Software confirmation

When Warzone's servers are back online and Caldera's Early Access period begins, Resurgence is going to be removed from Warzone - the Pacific update is purely focused on Caldera and the new battle royale experience it brings.

That being said, Raven Software has confirmed when Resurgence will be back and it's not far away!

Vanguard Resurgence is going to make an appearance in the Week Two Playlist update - from December 16th - and offer a new experience for Warzone players.

" With thanks to our friends at Beenox, the beloved Resurgence gameplay experience drops into the Pacific! This mode is tailored to a selection of hand-picked POI’s on the new Caldera map. With a max Player count of 48, this mode will follow the same WWII-era ruleset designed for Vanguard Royale, but with the gameplay that Players have come to know and love from Rebirth Island."

We don't know all the details about the playlist update yet, but there's more information about that coming soon - most likely on December 14th.

Is Resurgence still available in Warzone?

At the moment, Resurgence should still be available in Warzone - and it will be available in Warzone following the Warzone Pacific update. However, it's not going to be a permanent fixture of the Call of Duty battle royale game going forwards.

Resurgence is going to be an important part of the transition between Verdansk and Caldera - available for 24 hours after the Warzone Pacific update during the Caldera Early Access period. Following this, though, it's going to be removed to allow everyone to focus on Caldera and Vanguard Royale - a playlist that limits gameplay to Vanguard weapons and equipment.

We don't know if the ruleset is going to change, but we can imagine the core experience of Warzone's Resurgence mode is going to remain the same following the Warzone Pacific update.
