The Warzone Pacific update is here, Caldera is now available for those of you with Early Access, and the Ricochet Anti-Cheat system is slowly being rolled out. It's a great time to be a Warzone player - for all these reasons. However, it's also a great time to be a Warzone player because Fighter Planes are now available in-game.
If you're wondering where to find Fighter Planes in Warzone and how you can fly these planes across Caldera, we have everything you need to know below...
How to fly Planes in Warzone's Pacific update
At the moment, we're under the impression that Fighter Planes are only available in Warzone's Vanguard Royale playlists - as these are playlists that limit the equipment available to that which has been recently added to Warzone through the Vanguard integration.
With this in mind, you should be able to find Fighter Planes at Caldera's Airfield and Runway, which you can see indicated in the map layout below:
There should be several other smaller runway locations where you might be able to find a Fighter Plane spawn - such as in the southern area of Fields - but these remain to be found fully.
" Rain down destruction and reign supreme with the Fighter Plane. This versatile two-seater vehicle provides as much combat support with its front-mounted weapon systems as it does squad support—via sonar ability that pings enemy troop locations as well as legendary crates."
When you're in a Fighter Plane, you should find the following control scheme by default - it's displayed at the bottom of the screen when you're in the cockpit.
Warzone's vehicle controls are largely uniform and players who have used a Helicopter in Warzone, or a plane in Vanguard's campaign, will know enough to be able to pick this up quickly.
Flying a Fighter Plane in Warzone isn't going to be the easiest as Vanguard Royale is also the only mode where a modified Cargo Truck with an Anti-Aircraft Gun attached to it will spawn. Make sure you're keeping your wits about you and coordinating with your squad for this one.
