Warzone Mid-Season One Update Countdown: Release Time & Patch Notes

Warzone has improved a lot over the last few months, in terms of content, but it's also taken a step backwards in terms of its state of being. There are a lot of bugs and issues still to be found in Warzone and it feels like it's crashing more than ever. The mid-season one update is almost here and, with any luck, it will fix a few things. Here's the latest and when we should know more.

When does the mid-season update drop?

Sledgehammer Games' Vanguard update has already dropped and that means Raven Software's Warzone one isn't far behind. With the Vanguard update largely adding Zombies content, it looks like the Warzone update is going to be a little emptier than usual.

That being said, it will still be worth checking out. Here's when we should see the update drop:

  • 21:00 PST - January 12th
  • 00:00 EST - January 13th
  • 05:00 GMT - January 13th

Keep your eyes on Raven Software on social media for the latest and any updates on any issues with Warzone. You can also check the Warzone Trello Board for more information on upcoming events and Double XP Weekends.

Raven Software confirm pre-update issues

Ahead of the mid-season update, Raven Software has confirmed that they're looking to address a series of performance issues on all platforms. Some minor fixes have already been updated and it looks like they're acting as a precursor for a wider selection of fixes coming in the mid-season update.

We don't have any Patch Notes yet, but we should see them arrive around the same time as the update itself.

One of the most disruptive issues faced by Warzone at the moment is invisible skins. These can make players wholly invisible, only show their character model's head, or make them invisible when being looked at through ADS. It's not going to be an easy fix but it looks like Raven Software is going to continue to work on this, rather than remove the skins until they're fixed.

Other issues include things like server issues, missing weapon models, and throwing knife bugs that give redeploying players throwing knives unintentionally.
