HOW TO BECOME a Ghost in "Ghosts of Verdansk"
"Ghosts of Verdansk" is the spiritual successor to last year's Zombie Royale and it plays almost identically. If you want to become a Ghost in this limited-time mode, all you need to do is die.
We know that sounds reductive, but it really is that easy. If you die in "Ghosts of Verdansk", you'll skip the Gulag and become a spooky spectre instead.
It's important to note that this should happen every time you die - and you can't "die" as a Ghost. You can die, but you'll just reappear as a spectre somewhere else. If you're one of the last survivors, expect an onslaught.
GHOST ABILITIES - What can you do as a Ghost?
If you're playing as a Ghost in "Ghosts of Verdansk", you'll be pleased to know that you don't have any weapons. You can melee Operators to kill them, but you can't pop off with Akimbo Marshals sadly. You do have a few "unique" abilities, though.
We say "unique" because they're quite similar to the abilities you'd have in Zombie Royale last year... They are:
- Super Jump
- This is a charged jump that you can use to cover ground quickly. Ghosts are also near-weightless so have much better control in the air.
- This is a short-distance teleport that can be used to close the gap with Operators and even jump behind them to deliver the killing blow.
- Spectral Blast
- This is a stun attack that should disable vehicles alongside stunning Operators.
If you want to respawn as an Operator, you'll need to collect three souls from killing Operators or perform a Finishing Move. Then... The horrors all start again.
