Warzone Festive Fervor Event: Festive Fir Tree locations & challenge rewards

Another Warzone event is on the way so prepare to get festive! The Festive Fervor Event is going to introduce a new set of Challenges, some festive Gnomes, and Krampus - who's going to hunt you across Caldera. It's also going to add some Christmas Trees! These aren't just for decoration, though - these festive Fir Tree locations are going to offer up in-game rewards.

Here's how you can find these locations and what you can get from them.

How to find Caldera's festive Fir Tree locations

Warzone's Festive Fervor Event is going to add Fir Tree locations to Caldera, but they're not going to be static. Call of Duty has explained that we should see these locations appear with unique Tac Map icons in-game - they're going to be "temporary landmarks" which should mean that they're somewhat different in each game.

We expect this is going to mean that there's a set number of locations a Fir Tree can spawn, but only a select few of them spawn at once, like how the Buy Station spawns work.

When you find a Fir Tree location during the Festive Fervor Event, you should be able to earn Holiday Crates and high-rarity loot items. Here's what was said on the Call of Duty blog...

" Any squad that stays within the Fir Tree’s zone — under the tree and around it — for a short period of time will cause several Supply Boxes to magically appear, including special Holiday Crates that could contain Legendary items for that match, limited-time rewards, or even some coal for those Operators on the naughty list."

If you do find yourself finding Coal from these Fir Trees, then you're going to find yourself getting a visit from Krampus sooner than you'd like. If you can keep yourself alive for around three minutes, he's going to leave you be - and there might be another reward in there for you and your squad!
