The next iteration of Warzone Rumble is here - sort of. Clash, Warzone's new 50v50 game mode, has just been added to the game following the Season 5 Reloaded update. Here's everything you need to know about Clash and what's different.

PATCH NOTES - Anything new to know about Clash?

Clash has just been added to Warzone and Raven Software hasn't really had anything new to add in the Season 5 Reloaded Patch Notes... All we know is that this is the following:

" This is Team Deathmatch on an epic scale: 50 v 50, all your loadouts accessible, Ping and Armor System, Cash, Buy Stations, and Vehicles from both the regular Battle Royale and Plunder modes."

It's also worth noting that you can choose and use your Custom Loadouts right from the off. So, this would be a good game mode to tackle some of Warzone's trickier Weapon Challenges and Operator Challenges. If you're going for Gold Camo... This might be your chance.

RELEASE DATE - Clash confirmed for Season 5 Reloaded

Clash is coming - at long last - to Warzone in Season 5 Reloaded on September 9th. Specifically, it should be available at the following times:

  • 21:00 September 8th - PST
  • 23:00 September 8th - EST
  • 04:00 September 9th - BST
" This is Team Deathmatch on an epic scale, with all your loadouts accessible, along with the Ping and Armor System, Cash, Buy Stations, and Vehicles from the regular Battle Royale and Plunder modes."

We know it isn't going to be amazing but... It's better than nothing, right? We're still going to have to wait for The Numbers event, though.

What is Warzone's new Clash game mode?

Clash is a 50v50 "unlimited respawn deathmatch" that plays exactly as you'd expect. You start with your loadout, there's going to be vehicles and contracts to complete and Buy Stations throughout. You won't be able to explore the entirety of Verdansk '84 and each game of Warzone's new Clash game mode will be played in a concentrated area of the map.

Essentially, it's a TDM with a score limit of 200 where you get a point per kill. It should take a little while but with 50 players on your team, you only actually need to get four kills each to win.

RUMBLE TIME, BABY - Clash is Warzone Rumble. That's it. That's the caption.

For some reason, explaining it, Call of Duty's blog post has made it seem like all of this is revolutionary. It isn't. It's essentially Warzone Rumble.

" Plenty of improvements are being taken from the standard Warzone modes and being added into Clash, including the Ping system, Armor Plate drops, Cash and Buy Stations, and vehicles... All damage profiles for weapons directly reflect how they will operate in other Warzone modes, compared to just having Modern Warfare Multiplayer’s damage statistics..."

Clash is not going to be available at the start of Season 5 but will be added in-season.

When does Season 5 start?

Warzone Season 5 started on August 12th at the following times:

  • 21:00 August 11th - PST
  • 00:00 August 12th - EST
  • 05:00 August 12th - BST

At the moment, we don't know when the Clash game mode is due to be added to Warzone but we could see it around the start of September if we're lucky. Raven Software throws a Playlist Update into Warzone every Thursday so we should see them announce Clash's arrival a few days before it becomes available.
