Vanguard Season One: Shipment Spawn Trap fix coming in today's playlist update

Shipment is a map that everyone has an opinion on - it's a Call of Duty map with a lot of history. You might think it's the perfect map, offering near-constant close-quarters action, or you might despise its chaotic nature. Whatever side of the fence you sit on, being caught in a spawn trap is the worst part about Shipment - on Vanguard or otherwise.

The latest iteration of Shipment was added to Vanguard during the pre-season period and it's been a hit with players. Sledgehammer Games' Combat Pacing options has made Shipment a delightfully intense experience, but also meant that spawn trap situations are more common than ever.

Thankfully, it looks like Sledgehammer Games is working on this and the latest set of Patch Notes should be welcome reading to a lot of Vanguard players...

UPDATE - When does the Playlist Update drop?

Call of Duty games usually update their multiplayer playlist options at the following times:

  • 10:00 PST (December 9th)
  • 13:00 EST (December 9th)
  • 18:00 GMT (December 9th)

There is some variance, give or take an hour, and as this is the first Playlist Update of Vanguard Season One, Sledgehammer Games might be changing the way they do things. It won't be a drastic difference, so there's only a handful of hours to wait for the Shipment spawn trap fix to be implemented.

Vanguard Season One Patch Notes - Shipment

We're not going to list the full set of Season One Patch Notes below - although you can check them out by clicking on the link - but we will let you know what Sledgehammer Games has shared regarding Shipment...

  • Shipment (Dec 9)
    • Adjusted spawn logic to prevent spawn traps

Okay, we know that isn't the most extensive display of the changes coming to Vanguard's Shipment spawn system in the next update - however, it's confirmation that a fix for Shipment's spawn trap issues is coming on December 9th during the playlist update following the Season One update on December 8th.

At the moment, we're not sure when ShipHaus 24/7 is making a return - a playlist that only includes Shipment and Das Haus, the two smallest maps - but we're going to hazard a guess that we'll see it semi-regularly throughout the next few months.
