Warzone Season 5 is here and there are quite a few things worth talking about. Verdansk '84 is getting a handful of new POI locations, as expected, but there's a new perk coming. Raven Software is adding a brand-new perk exclusive to Warzone and it sounds pretty useful. Here's everything we know about the new Tempered Warzone Perk.

What does Tempered actually do?

Tempered is a Perk that's all about changing how Armor Plates work in Warzone. With Tempered equipped, each Armor plate will absorb 75 points of damage instead of 50. However, you'll only be able to equip two when you have Tempered equipped.

" Tempered... looks to fundamentally change Armor values within Warzone. When an Operator is under the effects of Tempered, their Armor Plates are heavier and more reinforced – only two of them are needed for an Operator to be considered “fully armored” compared to the standard three."

Essentially, it seems like Tempered will allow you to get up to full strength quicker. You will have the same amount of protection with full Armor, but you're shaving off a third of the time it takes to get there. This could be a matter of life or death in a hot situation.

Tempered does count as a Perk 2, though. This means you won't be able to have Overkill or Ghost when you have it equipped... It almost doesn't seem worth it, does it?

When does Tempered get added to Warzone?

The Tempered perk is being added to Warzone at the start of Season 5. This means we know when it's going to be available.

Warzone Season 5 starts on August 12th at the following times:

  • 21:00 August 11th - PST
  • 00:00 August 12th - EST
  • 05:00 August 12th - BST

That means it is now already available! Good luck, Operator.
