Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer is here, and it's really heating up as Season 1 is fast approaching. We'll see a ton of new content coming with the new season, including new maps and modes coming to Multiplayer for a fresh way to grind to the new level cap and prestige mode.
The CDL is kicking off for a new season very soon and to celebrate Infinity Ward is adding a CDL moshpit playlist into the rotation. Here's everything you need to know before it drops.

Modern Warfare 2 CDL Moshpit
To prepare for Ranked play which will be coming in later seasons, you'll be able to drop into the dedicated CDL moshpit playlist. This will be unlike any other experience in Modern Warfare 2, and is great for those players with a competitive streak.
The playlist will feature the same map rotation and game modes as the CDL itself and will be 4v4 as in the pro leagues. If you're looking to simulate what competitive play might be like, link up with three of your best squad mates and have at it.
Now is a great time to try it out, as it comes as a taster for ranked play without having to worry about taking a few losses.
Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play
Ranked play will be arriving in the newest Call of Duty in a later season, most likely for the start of Season 2. While the mode is still being developed, we've been assured that it will be the best ranked experience we've seen yet.
As previously announced, Modern Warfare II Ranked Play will be based off the past two years of continuous feedback and will contain, among other new features, Ranked Skill Divisions, visible Skill Ratings, a Top-250 Leaderboard, and rewards fit for our most competitive Operators.
