Al Mazrah has been revealed, with fan favourite maps making a return in the huge Battle Royale sandbox. We can expect all-new maps to be arriving in Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer, as well as hopefully some old flames.
Which maps will be available this weekend in the beta though? Let's check out everything revealed so far.
Modern Warfare 2 Beta Maps
As for taditional 6v6 multiplayer maps, three have been revealed so far. These include:
Farm 18 is based on a classified Shoot House like location. The much loved map from Modern Warfare 2019 still shows up in multiplayer playlists to this day.
Expect fast-paced action like the original Shoothouse in the centre, with close-quarter warehouse action. And if you want a more chill experience, you can pull back to the outer section of the training facility.
For this brand new map, expect clean architecture and long sight lines. We have less information about this new addition, but it looks like it could play similar to Raid from the Black Ops Series.
Mercado Las Almas
True to its name, this map will be set in a bustling market environment. Expect lots of close quarter sighlines, and a great opportunity to use the new third person feature to peek over stalls.
Long-time fans may recognise this map as very similar to Downtown from Modern Warfare 3. Open air street combat as well as hallway action will make this map a great mix of playstyles.
Modern Warfare 2 Ground War Maps
Additionally available to play will be the huge new ground war map:
This map will play host to a much larger scale combat, with 32 vs 32 action. If you're a fan of vehicle combat, long distance sniping, or just all out chaos, this map is a can't miss.
