How to unlock Black Ops Cold War Season 5's Marshal shotgun pistol

Well... Black Ops Cold War Season 5 is finally here and has introduced a lot of new content to Treyarch's shooter. There's a new Battle Pass, new multiplayer maps, and new Call of Duty Zombies content. There are also new weapons and one of them looks to be very exciting. It isn't here just yet, but the Marshal shotgun pistol Secondary looks like a lot of fun. Here's how you unlock it...

How to unlock the Marshal Shotgun Pistol

Official Weapon Description:

" Break action pistol. Hand loaded double barrel pistol fires 12-gauge shells. Excellent damage at close range with a 1-shot kill potential."

If you want to get your hands on the new Secondary weapon and unlock the Marshal shotgun pistol, you're going to need to complete an in-game unlock challenge. At the moment, we don't know what this will be but due to the fact that the Marshal shotgun pistol is going to be a Secondary weapon, it will be related to Secondary weapons.

This means we could see something like "get 3 secondary kills in without dying in 15 matches" or "get 2 secondary kills in quick succession in 10 matches". It varies and it can be impossible to predict accurately. We won't know until the Mid-Season update releases and the Marshal is fully-added to the game.

Alternatively, you can unlock the Marshal shotgun pistol Secondary weapon by purchasing a Store Bundle with a Marshal Weapon Blueprint in it. It is worth noting that this will not unlock the base version of the weapon, you will just be able to use the Weapon Blueprint. You can still earn Weapon XP and equip attachments, though.

When does the new weapon come out?

The Marshal shotgun pistol Secondary weapon isn't due to be added to Black Ops Cold War and Warzone just yet. We know it's going to drop before Stryker, but this could still be a couple of weeks away.

We know that Season 5 started at the following times:

• 21:00 August 11th - PST
• 00:00 August 12th - EST
• 05:00 August 12th - BST

With this in mind, we should see it release before the mid-season update that's due to start in roughly six weeks.
