How do you unlock the CARV 2 Tactical Rifle in Warzone & BOCW?

It may look a little odd, but the CARV 2 Tactical Rifle is going to be a beast in Warzone if early footage is to be believed. This is going to be the next new weapon from Black Ops Cold War Season Three to make it into Activision's Call of Duty battle royale and we've got everything you need to know about when you can get your hands on it.

When Does The CARV 2 Come Out?

The CARV 2 Tactical Rifle is due to release in both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War at around 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST on May 6th. It's going to get a simultaneous addition on both titles thanks to the integrated progression and content across the two Call of Duty titles.

We're not sure how it performs on Black Ops Cold War, but reports are already coming in that the CARV 2 is the best Tactical Rifle in Warzone right now. Here's the official look at what it's all about from the Call of Duty blog:

" Carve through the competition with this burst-fire tactical rifle, joining the ranks of the M16 with its high-damage, high-bullet-velocity output. Boasting moderate firepower with solid recoil control and a large ammo pool, the CARV.2 cuts the deepest when used for mid- to long-range engagements."

How To Unlock The CARV 2?

As always, there's going to be two ways to get the new CARV 2 Tactical Rifle in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War. You can either purchase an Operator Bundle or a Weapon Blueprint that features the CARV 2 to unlock it. We're under the impression that the bundle containing it at launch will be called "Plastik Prototype".

Like the R1 Shadowhunter, and all other previous weapons, this will most likely just contain a Legendary Weapon Blueprint for the CARV 2 and little else of interest.

Alternatively, you can complete the unlock challenges in-game! At the moment, though, we don't know how you can actually do this as the weapon isn't technically out yet. When they are made available by Call of Duty, we will make sure to keep you updated.
