Cold War & Warzone Playlist Update: Season 6 adds new modes to both

Season 6 is here and both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War have been updated. Here's everything you need to know about the new ways to play in Call of Duty's final season of Cold War content.

UPDATE - New Warzone mode announced

The infamous "Scopes and Scatterguns" is making a return next week and Raven Software has shared new details on what to expect from this mode on October 14th.

Here's what the Season 6 Patch Notes had to say...

• Rebirth Resurgence
  • "Scopes and Scatterguns" builds on a map and ruleset combination we know and love - Rebirth Resurgence.
    • This means we're not going to be playing this mode on Verdansk '84 at all - or at least at the moment.
• Limited Loot
  • The loot table will only include Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, and Crossbows. Aim true, Operator.
    • There is no word on Tacticals and Lethals yet - or Field Upgrades. However, we can imagine that it'll be a Throwing Knife or Tomahawk situation.

• No Loadouts
  • No free Loadout Drops and no purchasable Loadout in the Buy Station either!
    • This means you're going to need to scavenge for all your weapons and equipment - it also means no Perks for anyone.
• Updated Starting Weapon
  • The 1911 isn't exactly a Shotgun... So, Players will spawn in with the Marshal instead.

COLD WAR - October 7th Playlist Update

Treyarch's Season 6 Patch Notes have been released and they share important information about the next Playlist Update for Black Ops Cold War. There's a couple of new Multiplayer Maps being added and this is what new Featured Playlists will be around to play them on...

• NukeJacked 24/7
• Gunfight Tournament
• Face Off 6v6 (now featuring Gluboko)
• 12v12 Moshpit (now featuring Deprogram and Amerika)

That isn't all though, Zombies is getting a Playlist Update too - Forsaken is out, after all! Here's the latest on what's coming to Cold War Zombies in Season 6's update - Playlist-wise, anyway...

WARZONE - October 7th Playlist Update

Raven Software has now shared their Playlist Update for October 7th. The following Warzone modes will be available:

• Verdansk '84
  • Battle Royale - Solos, Duos, Trios, Quads
  • Plunder - Quads
  • Payload - Port
• Rebirth Island
  • Resurgence - Duos, Quads

In addition, Iron Trials '84 will be back at the weekend for a limited time Quads playlist.
