We now have official confirmation that a truly beloved game mode is set to return for Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The game mode in question is, of course, Gun Game!
Gun Game is a fan-favourite game mode that is etched into the history of Call of Duty, making its debut 13 years ago back in 2010.

Gun Game set to return
The confirmation is brought to us via the official Call of Duty Twitter page.
Call of Duty's response to a fan's Tweet regarding Gun Game more than hints at the game modes' return, it actually confirms it for Season 2.
The Tweet reads: "Party up Feb 15". This happens to be the exact same day that Modern Warfare Season 2 kicks off - Wednesday, 15 February.
So, we know Gun Game will be returning to COD but for those of you who are unfamiliar with the mode, we're here to fill you in...
What is Gun Game?
The concept is simple. Firstly, players will be dropped into a free-for-all match.
Each time a player registers a kill they will automatically and instantaneously switch weapons, progressing to a completely new weapon on every occasion.
However, if you are killed via a melee you will be 'demoted', meaning you are forced to revert back to your previous weapon and register another kill before progressing to the next level.
The first player to get a kill with each of the twenty featured weapons wins the game.
